PETMAKER Portable Soft Sided Crate Review

We have a 22lb Boston Terrier that we travel with. We used to carry their heavy metal box with us. It took up loads of space in the car and was amazing being carried up the stairs at the motel! Just the right size for our 110 lb German Shepherd and Mastiff mix. He's spent a few nights in it without incident, but as others have noted on this and similar stuff boxes, there won't be a dog wanting to get out. The biggest disappointment was the cheap zippers as they are very small and flimsy. Next is a lightweight mesh, which I think should also be several orders of magnitude thicker. But at this price all offers seem to be the same. Works but don't expect the metal cage option.

This pet carrier is hard to find sized between the typical small and medium sizes. I searched for a long time until I found this. It is perfect for our 17lb but very long and skinny mini Labradoodle. The drawer is very durable and I like the neutral gray color. We use it in the kitchen as a bed for her pet and also travel with us in the car when we go to the beach or on a long car ride. The old upholstered drawer was a light blue eyesore in our kitchen, had no handles and was very fragile…

This carrier is great. Super cute and the extra compartments are great. I bought a second purple to use as a carrier as the pink is in the dog play area and is used as a den. As a pup, she effectively chewed on the front zipper, preventing it from closing more. Don't think anything can be changed to prevent this, but just a word of warning: if you have gum and use it like a drawer, you'll ruin the zipper. Mine also uses the mesh sides to climb on, so keep an eye out for that.

UPDATED: Not done as well as we would like. A little less than I needed. The dog can open the zipper and that's why the zipper is now stuck and difficult to close. The pillow that came with the kit has a very thin sponge to fill it with. The dog had already eaten it and torn off the zipper. I've only had it a few months, the dog is a fox terrier and she isn't around over a ton of time every day or every time. But she doesn't like being in it. Bought this size for two cats and it's perfect! I love how easy it was to put the bars back in place - I'm not a practical person and it only took a minute! No tools either! I bought a khaki lovely color - the carrier is sturdy and looks like it would be very comfortable for two cats to travel in.
