A bit overpriced for what it is.

Let's be honest. This is a flexible door. It's thick, the stitching is well done, but it's not worth it. Some machine probably printed it out in a millisecond. They put it in a bag and charge $40.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good for Kennel

This item fits well in the kennel and works as intended. Unfortunately, our dog "Jaws" finally managed to destroy it. If you have a dog that doesn't chew I would recommend this door. Unfortunately, if your dog likes to chew, he just can't stand it.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Features
Cons
  • Discontinued

The mounting hardware is terrible

The door itself is of good quality but the 3 hooks to secure it are totally useless. As soon as my dog entered the kennel, the door fell off. I went to a large hardware store, bought three plastic screws, washers and nuts and attached the door with excellent results.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Fairly ok but...

use nylon cable ties instead of hooks

Lasted several winters in Southwest Virginia. In warm weather, we just climb onto the roof of the kennel and put bricks on top so that they stay there. The hooks that come with the kit don't work very well, but the zip ties work great. I had to throw some treats in the back of the kennel to make it easy for the dog to get in and out, but it only took a few times to get used to it.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • definitely bad product

Good doors but prepare to practice closing this gear.

and if you don't close the S rings the door will fall down. It takes a lot of effort to close the S rings! My husband, an engineer, has never seen such a metal for consumer use. Pliers were required to block the canals. The metal was too hard for the job, but once you close the rings they stay for life. This door system will keep rain and wind out when using a high sided dog bed. MUCH LUCK!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • little things

The door I received is not the one pictured

I purchased this item to replace an old Petmate Top Paw door. The image shown, with a square top and three aligned anchor hook holes, was exactly the same as the old door. The product that was sent to me had a rounded top and the three anchor holes in one curve did not line up. I cannot rate the quality of the product as it could not be installed without major modifications. The photo used as part of the product description must match the product shipped.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Negative Gift

No size description and not enough fasteners

First of all, the sizes and dimensions are not listed in the description. FAIL! For reference, this item is approximately 19 inches high and 15 inches wide. This is the second I've bought because the description didn't list the measurements. Second, it has 3 mounting holes as well as 3 matching holes on the kennel, but only 2 S hooks come with the door for mounting. DOUBLE ERROR! I had to make a third mounting hook out of some sort of wire. But the thing works. It protects my dog's house from…

Clean door Difficult installation for an unskilled woman

Excellent pet door. It is very difficult to attach three S hooks that a dog can easily knock off, so I asked my son to fix it better. My dog chews and chewed off a small corner at first, but for some reason decided to leave the door alone. I think she likes being sheltered from the wind and being able to see. I filled her pet shed with pine straw and the door helps keep her inside. At first she was scared of the door so I started putting treats in the back of the kennel and after a day or two…
