Better decoration than a scratching post

I only like it because it doesn't look like a normal scratching post. What I don't like is that the scratching piece only covers half of the cactus and slips every time my cats try to use it.

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • I will add later

My kitten agrees :)

My cat Sage loves his scratching post! after I assembled it she immediately came up, stretched a lot and scratched him. The shape of the cactus is very cute and it goes well with the decor in my apartment :) My cat weighs around 9-10 pounds and she has never knocked it over, the base is pretty sturdy. The little ball that was attached to the rope came off pretty quickly, but that's okay because you can easily turn it into a separate toy!

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Safety

A conversation about scratch posts.

Margo is a designer snob and dislikes figurative sculpture. She likes cardboard scrapers even less, and she expressed it through our cute sofa. When we assured Margo that this wasn't an addition to her art collection but an object to sink her claws into, she accepted and has only used the couch for lounging ever since. While the cactus mold is a fun addition to her toy set, she would like it to be of a little better quality (her words, not mine).

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Damaged

Love the look + Great for kittens and small cats, equal to big cats

Love this look in my living room! My 12 week old kitten knew what to do with it right away! What a win. BUT the 15ft kraft paper it was wrapped in could be an even bigger asset! Like 2 toys in 1. She was very surprised by the cactus ball from the start but lost interest now 1 month later. She's taller now too, a whopping 4 pounds, and she's actively almost knocking him over when she jumps on him. Verdict: Great for kittens, but due to its size and jumping ability, any adult cat will want to…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

Cute and functional

Our cat lives about three months. She's not our first cat, but I've still read a lot about how to make cats comfortable and happy before we rescued them. One of the standout things was that you can't expect your cat not to scratch your furniture unless you give her something else to scratch. When I saw this scratching post I was amazed at how cute it was but I wasn't sure if our cat would like this style (vertical bar). Well, we're lucky because she does, and it's ridiculously cute. We've had…

  • Best in its niche

Cute but a bit problematic

[EDIT] It should have been 4 stars so I fixed it. Also, cats love it. I saw one sleeping on it the other day. In fact, she's resting on it right now. Nobody else got stuck on it, so I'm guessing it was just a coincidence. [EDIT] I bought this to keep my cats from scratching the furniture. One of my cats has a habit of drinking water from a well and then casually going straight to the couch and scratching her side. I bought this cactus. At first I thought it was great. All chair scratching has…
