🧳 Durable Plastic Carrying Case with Customizable Foam Inserts, 12" x 8" x 3 3/4 Review

Poor quality box, the clasp on the box is weak and now loose. I was hoping to use it for my external Blu-ray drive for storage and portability, but I'm not sure the latch won't open and drop my $100 drive. So now that I've lost the packaging and extra foam I can't return it and can only use it as a cheap storage box in my closet.

I've used the same cases before and they last for years. So when I needed a new sleeve for my endoscope, I chose one of these sleeves. They still make a damn solid box, I could throw them home and not damage the scope in this thing. I'm beyond lucky, I'm so glad I can still get stuff like this today considering the last one I bought was 25 years ago and still feels like a new box after all these years.

This is a case that does what cases are supposed to do I like the grip, I like the case in general but the locking mechanism feels a bit small like it might open if you press it wrong so I only gave it four stars out of five otherwise it's a case and it does what it's supposed to do. This is the best price I could find for the small black hard plastic briefcase I used as part of my son's Boss Baby costume for Halloween. I ended up having to tape the vinyl to the back of the briefcase because the front is a smaller, smoother rectangle. I found it difficult to apply the vinyl over the uneven texture, but it worked along with a lot of ModPodge. This will certainly work if you need something fast. I can't say anything about durability as it was just for show.

The case is perfect for storing my carving knives. The case is lightweight, looks sturdy and is deep enough to store large items. The only knock I have is the locking mechanism. It's plastic and my experience with these types of latches always ended with the latch breaking. I suspect that will also be the case in this case. Bought this for my 3 sets of allen keys which with their plastic shell fit perfectly and snugly in the bottom of this case. Great case, great except for the extra foam inserts and poor quality clasp! The foam inserts were corrugated (attached very well to the inside of the upper shell and pad) and 2 flat removable ones of various thicknesses - one 1/2 inch thick which is very useful; another, 1 1/2 inches thick, was also needed. but useless - unless I can accurately cut it into two 3/4" thick…
