Internal SSDs for $7.91

When I bought my case they were $7.91. Now they cost $16.41. Needless to say I will never buy a Phanteks product again and neither should you. There are far better cases for the money made by better companies that are trying to endorse their products rather than rip off their customers. Look elsewhere, DO NOT buy Phanteks.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Fits in my P300 phanteks case.

The product is identical to the original that came with the kit. But it's just a metal mount with no hardware or rubber mounts. In the P300 case, it is behind the mobile device, due to a small height difference, a single SSD mount works (no double SSD mount, the back door of the case does not close)

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • too dumb

Can you say overloaded?

Phanteks really care about their customers for this product. They know you can't get this mount from anyone else and make you pay a paltry $13 for a part that should be around $3. I know the price is announced in advance, but we're talking about gouging. Too bad the Phanteks case I paid $180 for didn't have a bracket for every SSD mounting point. By the way, the mount works perfectly.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some little things

Missing Screws: Computer and Accessories

Fixing is OK. The price is reasonable ($8.99). Revain reduces this significantly, and the price is actually lower than laptop mounting brackets and other things I've bought in the past, so I don't have the pricing issues that many reviewers have. The real problem is that there are no screws to attach the drive to the bracket. Hard drives don't have screws, so if you can't remove them somewhere else, like you can with an old laptop, you're out of luck. For that three stars minus. They must be…

Pros
  • Durability Test Results
Cons

Does what it's designed to do

This worked great when I installed my SSD in the Phanteks Evolv X enclosure Mounting the SSD to the bracket is easy enough. Then simply slide it onto the rubberized attachment points in the case. The only thing I can complain about is the prices. It seems like a pretty high price for a small piece of stamped metal.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

My Enthoo case only had ONE of these, they have 2 mounting points visible under the window and another 2 mounting points behind the motherboard. I mean, well, I'm not expecting 4 mounts. but at least at least 2 for 2 visible attachment points under the window. $10 shipped (IRS wants it) is ridiculous for a stamped tiny 2.5" mount that should have been included in the first place.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Out of fashion

These things are complete plagiarism

I bought these because I was in a hurry and I didn't have a 3D printer set up and I was too lazy to set it up so I reluctantly bought two. This is a complete rip off and Phanteks should be ashamed that they didn't include it in their high quality cases. What I don't understand is that they include at least one in their favorable cases. But the Evolv X I was working on didn't have them. Actually, it's my own fault for being too lazy to print my own. That's why I gave them an extra star…

Pros
  • even old people can understand
Cons
  • Good but not great

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

No screws or hardware

This bracket fits the one that came with my Enthoo Pro case. That can help. Neither this nor the SSD came with mounting screws, so make sure you have them handy. Also, Phanteks doesn't seem to offer mounts that this mount slides onto. The Enthoo Pro case includes a set of four mounts. This bracket has holes for this type of mounting only. The workaround I'm going to use is to place the original and new brackets next to each other, using only two of the four brackets. Under the lid, where the…

Great cheap mount, the smallest I could find.

Upper right corner. My case had two slots for installing SSDs on the mainboard support frame between the back of the phone and the top cover, which was a death sentence at high temperatures. The m.2 drive was also clamped there. The body (Metallic Gear Neo) left little to no room for breathing and airflow for the discs so I needed a solution to move them around and this worked great. In my case, I can add two more mounts underneath and get a total of 6 SSDs and one m.2, so these mounts can…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

  • Long time
