Buyer Warning! for bulbs

Attention buyers I ordered a set of 3. One of them didn't work. Made in China so the quality is definitely not up to par. Shame on Philips. The ones that actually worked probably won't last long. I will no longer buy them from Revain/Phillips.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Requires socket

Turn on the kitchen light - Sears balding head

You're getting hot. I can feel it on the back of my head when I wash dishes. Covers about 12 feet high. But at least I can see it. Good bulbs, although I trust Philips and someone through no fault of their own put in stupid bulbs when the house was built.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Nothing here

Good color temperature/brightness/value for money

We bought these Philips floodlights for recessed lighting in our new master shower. It provides enough light for the room and gives us the desired color temperature without overheating at the same time. This is a great option for power.

  • Slim design

That's a lightbulb. 🤔

This is a light bulb, so my excitement is rather moderate. It was exactly what was needed, so I think it guarantees that at least a hair or two will stand on end. Delivery was quick, which in itself is a small miracle. Let's hear it for the humble lightbulb without which the zombie apocalypse would be a much harder pill to swallow.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Availability in exchange

Outstanding bulbs, bright and illuminating a large area, just as a floodlight should. I tried halogen spotlights but the narrow beam wasn't enough to cover a large area. They switched to LED, but the resulting lamps were much inferior in terms of both lighting and manufacturing. Nightmare but another story that made me switch back to halogen streams. Ideal! In fact, these bulbs are so sturdy and well made that they all survived loose in their shipping carton as the bulb packaging fell apart in…

  • New

  • Slightly torn

Doesn't heat up that much

Very easy to install and just what I was looking for. Perfect price, perfect brightness. I don't even notice the heat she radiates anymore. I think when we first put it in I noticed it got a little warm, but it's fine now. Lamps usually start to lose brightness over time, which could explain why there is less heat.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

A must have in my kitchen

I have a 5 light fixture over the stove lit by these bulbs. I have a similar 3-bulb fixture over the sink. Since you never know when one or more will fail, I always keep a pack of these on hand for spares. Despite their small size, they emit a very bright light, which is necessary for cooking and cleaning. No 'regular' sized bulb will fit in the special two-pin socket, so easy replacement is a must. These do their job!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Avoid These Bulbs - Bulbs

I've Had Bad Experiences With These Bulbs Too. How do you know if it's a lamp or a lightbulb? I've seen many others asking the same question. It seems that every time I turn my head I look up and see that there is another lightbulb that needs replacing. I haven't had this with other lights that use other bulbs. This is particularly annoying because every time they burn out I have to call someone to replace them in my ceiling fixture in the kitchen. Another screw-in halogen lamp does not pose…
