Broke on delivery

Bubble wrapped only, one bulb was cracked and the other didn't work. I'm pretty sure it's bad packaging. Fragile items such as lightbulbs should be packed this way.

Pros
  • Tested for one year
Cons
  • Some bugs

Brighter amber than Toyota OEM

Works well but much brighter amber than the OEM bulbs in my Toyota Sequoia. As a result, the two DRLs look completely different. UPDATE: These bulbs cannot be used as DRLs. The amber color has completely disappeared after long-term use and they are now white.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Does not fit all

What happened to the orange?

Terrible quality for running lights. They were orange out of the box and looked like my daytime running lights on the left side of the car. But in less than two months, the Philips lightbulb has lost most of its color. I took it off and this is what it looks like. And the base will melt.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Quality

Whiter Than Amber: Lamps

Maybe I'm being picky, but here's the thing: They look like they give off a solid amber light, but they give off a very pale amber light in comparison to a lamp bulb that I replaced in the front of my car. Luckily they came as a pair so I swapped them out to match. However, I would prefer a "true" amber light for this purpose than the almost white light they emit.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Absolute rubbish. Nothing like the "real " ones I bought at the parts store.

I purchased these replacement bulbs when installing new parking light lenses on my C5z. The driver's side burned out after a month of very infrequent use, and the passenger's side coating faded after a season of light use, leaving the light out white instead of yellow. I bought another pack of these long life Phillips bulbs locally and they don't show these problems.

  • Automotive
Cons
  • Interval

Very Hot - Turn Signal Bulbs

I replaced an OEM Sylvania 4157NAK with this bulb (front turn signal/running light on a 2008 Tundra). After a few weeks I noticed that it looks yellow-white instead of amber. I tested it and found it worked so hard that it started melting the base of the bulb and apparently burned off most of the amber color. Well... maybe there is something wrong with my truck or I need the "K" (Krypton) version. I replaced this Phillips product with an Eiko 4157NAK. I will unsubscribe if I have any issues…

Pros
  • Turn Signal Bulbs
Cons
  • Almost OK

Bulb only lasted a few months

I installed a bulb (amber) in a 2005 4Runner passenger turn signal and it blew out after just a few months. When I took out the burned out bulb to replace it, I was surprised that the amber color had almost completely disappeared from the bulb in such a short time. Seems to confirm what others have commented about the bulb overheating. On the one hand, using the light bulb that the car is designed for is a simple replacement, but the service life is only 3 months? Oh well. The LED versions are…

Pros
  • Lights and Accessories
Cons
  • Can't remember but something happened
