A different ballast was sent from what was purchased

I ordered this W/Prime ballast everything went fine but the ballast I received was part number ICN- 3P32-N which is for 3 lights and differs from the ICN-3P32-SC which was sent and ordered by me. So as there is no documentation on this part I had to find out if it can be used and it can, you only need to connect 2 out of 3 Blue wires per ballast it would be helpful if this information was provided. I see some DIYers would send it back as the wrong part, plug it in anyway and it works as it…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Easy installation - wire caps may be required

Bought several of these and they work well. If you are replacing the original ballast you will need 4 extra turns on the caps/connectors for the 3 blue and 1 red wires to complete the replacement as some of the red/blue wires are hard wired to the lamp sockets.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Out of style

Quiet and efficient

I chose this device because it is a well-known brand, has good features and is well suited to my situation. I replaced three single T12 ballasts with one three lamp ballast. I may not save much energy, but now I use T8 bulbs, I have no noise and I have increased the life of my lights.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some bugs

Philips ICN 3P32-SC Ballast T8

First the seller sent me a ballast other than the ICN-4P. for 4 T8 fluorescent lamps. I contacted Raven. Received call back and picked up by UPS. I order another one from another seller and he sends me a ballast of the correct ICN-3P32-SC T8 ballast model for 3 T8 fluorescent tubes. Although ICN-4P. The ballast can be connected to 3 T8 fluorescent lamps but no connection instructions are included and I'm not sure if it needs additional wires connected. Otherwise everything works fine so far…

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Obsolete
