These bulbs fit standard fixtures. They are daytime, not pale white. This makes the light brighter and more natural looking. There is no yellow cast in the room. One was used in a kitchen fan and looked so much better and brighter than the soft whites that the other three working bulbs in the fixture were replaced as well. Ordered for use with a planted aquarium. I have 2 tanks of 20 liters and one of 5 liters. They do very well for aquatic plants in low to medium light conditions and are an excellent choice for a regular aquarium with no live plants.
