Best Sounding Headphones

I've paid more for earbuds only they get loud or static and stop working shortly after purchase. This is my second pair only because I accidentally cut my first pair - otherwise I'd have them forever. I use them all the time. No static, clear, crisp sound. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised.

Dear Philips headphones! I've been buying them for a long time. The only problem is that they last about a year with daily wear. They differ slightly in that they have more bass than the other Philips headphones I usually buy. I originally bought because I like the metal case and I liked how they looked in the picture. Was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality.

Improper cable insulation was used so the cables transmit noise to the ears when rubbing against clothing

These reinforced base headphones did not sound right when used with my Sansa Clip MP3 player. Adjusting the EQ helped, but I couldn't get them to sound that great. The final deal breaker was how loud my own breathing was and the sound of wires rubbing against my clothes. It was distracting and made it difficult to hear what I was hearing. I believe that the wrong cable insulation was used. I haven't had this with any other headphones, including my other Philips ones.
