The right part fits perfectly. I recommend only trying it if you have experience soldering/reworking a surface mount PCB. High risk of fatal board damage if you've never done this before.

This replacement is very difficult and complex. However, I was able to achieve this on both devices. Now they are charging and are on the 1st day of repair. The only difference is that the four pins that are soldered to the board are next to a piece of black plastic, which melts the plastic on the pins and makes it hard to tell if they actually made contact. Turns out they teamed up for me. Wow!

Brought this for my Kindle, had to do a few extra twerks to get it working but it's been up and running for 30+ days and works fine.
