I use it to attach enamel pins to my work apron. I haven't lost a single needle since using it. I'd probably rip my apron off before the needle comes loose if they get caught on something. I find they hold the needles too well and I sometimes have a hard time removing them when it's time to take off my apron, but that's my only complaint. You know I love the idea of being able to lock the pens in place and make sure they don't fall out of the case until I pick them up. The last time I ordered pins, I got the kind that attaches with small screws. I really liked them, but I chose something less time consuming and easier to move. They seem to do their job just as well and I'm not afraid of losing my favorite art pens while using them. I can literally pick my purse up by the needle and it won't come loose.
