Time will tell how they wear out but they feel far stronger than any other prop I've used on my LR3 in the last 11 years. excellent pistons

So far so good I have replaced both luggage racks with a Land Rover LR3 and LR4. We'll see how long they last, usually the hood struts fail much quicker than the tailgate since the hood weighs about 100 pounds.

Simply put, exactly as described, fits perfectly, works great. My rear window now goes up and stays in place instead of slowly falling down and hitting me! LOL Great score! If you need them, don't hesitate, just get them. A child could fit in there. A limitation. Replace ONE at a time! Since the rear glass is heavier than you think, it must otherwise be well supported. BE CAREFUL! But even one of these new jambs supported the window well enough for me to replace the other.

As other reviews say they are very durable. I actually had to step back to avoid being hit by a flying tailgate, until the constant opening loosened the bolt that attaches it to the body. As a result, the door fell on my head and the mother got lost in the back of the car. Since December my tailgate/tailgate has stopped working. The hole in the body where the bolt enters is deformed by the force of opening the door with such a force. Didn't even last 2 years.
