These HONSHEN 24Pack 18AWG 5A Plug and Socket Pigtails are a good solution for integrating DC power distribution into any circuit. The 5A rating offers a wide range of applications that are easy to integrate with braids. The quality of construction should ensure long term performance in any application.

These are strong plugs and sockets with pigtails. They are easy to disassemble and strip, with clear red and black color markings on the wiring, and are great for model railroading, hobby lighting, or similar uses. The connectors are durable and ensure a clean attachment. They have no attachment points and therefore cannot be tightened or simply screwed into position.

I ordered these DC Pigtails to make custom extension cords for my LED installations including a Christmas garland that I put up outside. These pigtails come in a pack of 24, i.e. H. 12 pairs of plugs and sockets and DC jacks. The 18 AWG wire is easy to remove and accepts solder well. Each plug and socket mates properly to ensure a strong and secure connection. This is a great product and a great deal for a 12 pair set. Recommended.

I recently bought another set of these units, they worked but didn't really like them. The wires were so thin and flimsy it was almost impossible to strip the ends without breaking the wires. THIS set is MUCH BETTER despite the same stats. The quality and construction is very good (although I haven't tested them all electrically) and the wire gauge is closer to what it should be and easier to work with. This is a very good value.

[Rant] - I don't know who the heck mass-produces these out-of-spec 5.5mm barrel plugs in China. Maybe that's a regional standard. Maybe that's all. But as far as I know the male part of the metal barrel of the 5.5mm barrel plug should be just under 10mm long. They are over 12mm long. So they will not pair with other things. There would be a big gap. In fact, they don't even mate with themselves. You see all that exposed metal in the display when they're put together. [Rant] - Maybe the outside…
