Pikolinos Mens Tarifa Black 9 5 10 Review

Very disappointed as I have another pair of favorite Pikolinos ("Puerto Ricos"). This is the second style of sandal of her shoe that I have to return because they are sooo tight! After the last disappointment I ordered this other model in size 13 - I think this is the largest of them. Yes the length fits a US 13 but the width means you have to be some kind of narrow bird coming forward to fit. Sorry, no more picolinos.

I once had sandals like this that I bought 8 or 10 years ago. These are beautiful quality sandals. The best fisherman sandals I've found that a major shoe manufacturer can buy. I just went with black because my last pair was tan and I wanted to jazz it up a bit. I will also add a more durable outsole (like my last pair). There is nothing wrong with the manufactured sole, just my personal preference.

That little voice in my head told me not to buy these sandals, but I really wanted black leather sandals, which can be both dressy and casual. The first red flag is that they span two integer sizes. How is that possible? That means if you wear a smaller size, they will be too big for you. The leather is not what I expected for $165 or whatever I paid. This is my second pair and they are so comfortable. I can walk for hours in these sandals and not think about my feet, no tiredness or pain. If there is one improvement I would recommend it is that the sole covers most of the bottom of the sandal. My first pair had a chafed patch on the leather just behind the coverage area of the outsole.

For the price of these shoes I expected better quality and customer service. The sutures unraveled after 2 months. I contacted them after 3 months, they said after 90 days they would not do anything to fix or replace them. Also, they are oddly shaped in the insole which was very uncomfortable to wear, it caused pain in the foot behind the ball of the foot which still hurts for months even if I haven't used them.
