A coil set is like a fire extinguisher - you never plan to use it but it's nice to know that it is always ready and available. This is an impressive set of helical coils that include everything you need to start working with screw holes removed. This is a quality kit. The kit contains everything you need to repair a stripped thread. It comes with 10 different sizes of helicoil for thread exchange for imperial and metric threads. This kit basically contains a repair of all the standard sized screws that would have been stripped. This is a very complete kit containing a quality drill, tap, coil insertion tool and a punch to break the tab on the coil after insertion. Each size comes with approximately 25 spiral spools. The taps look good and cut aluminum threads with ease. Each tap, punch, drill and wire inserter is clearly marked with its size. There are 25 spools in each size except 1/2 and M12, both containing 10. I noticed that some boxes actually had more than 25. I was able to fix the threads holding my car's thermostat housing.
