I bought this product to transfer Hi8 to DVD and was completely disappointed. Video quality is poor at best. Colors are particularly bad - washed out, rainbows floating in the video, strange artifacts, and dropout failures (although the Pinnacle software has never reported any dropped frames). As with most USB devices, plug it in after the system boots and you won't have the same issues as any of the previous browsers.
