Gray color is not as dark as expected; It could of course be a problem with the monitor. Out of the box, the quality of materials and workmanship turned out to be good. I didn't notice any protruding threads, the material is soft. I really wish there were ties inside to hold the duvet in place but I knew there wouldn't be based on the description of the item and just pinned a few ties myself which works pretty well.
