Easy to install in my wife's car and charges very well but when your phones aren't on it and something moves in the car the damn thing just opens and closes like a photo eye sensitive. Emailed the manufacturer twice and never got a reply. I had to remove the charger and put in the old one from the suction cup model we bought years ago so it wouldn't drive my wife crazy while driving. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Let me start by saying that I would buy it again. but I would also like to know these problems. I've found that while the phone doesn't "flop" into different positions, it tends to "wiggle". Additionally, I found that after about a month of use, the charging cable began to fray and disconnect when powering on and charging, which can be a bit annoying. Otherwise I like the overall product and design.

I REALLY wanted this to work. Fits perfectly in the cup holder, secure locking lever, strong phone clip/unclip, unobtrusive style. However, the ball/socket connection on the back of the charging plate is not strong enough to support the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. After 5 minutes of driving, the phone slowly sagged down. I hand tightened as much as possible but the ball joint is too loose. I contacted the seller but he did not help. I had to return the product. Great idea with a serious flaw.

Great idea, poor quality. The clamp stopped working stably after about 2.5 months. Shortly thereafter, the charger stopped charging. It just kept coming on and then off again. The more I fiddled with it, the ball nut loosened and eventually broke from trying to tighten it over and over again. I just can't find anything these days that lasts more than a few months. Too bad this is the best we can design, engineer and manufacture.

Love this, it fits my Infiniti QX56 perfectly, we have this little round area that isn't meant for cups and this thing fits perfectly . Now if only it worked as well as it looks. The opening and closing mechanism is unstable, sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn't. In the end I just pull it out, it's not too tight so no damage. Update 05/26/21: Charger only works sporadically - my drive home took 1.5 hours and my iPhone X battery is 20% empty. A warranty request sent 27 days ago was never answered. This product works as advertised. It charges my Google Pixel 4 well and is actually pretty fast too. I was impressed by how quickly it charged once while listening to music while using Google Maps.
