    Unsafe safety wire is good for controls

    This might be fine for an outdoor hanging project where you're worried about rust, but it's terrible for twist tension. Before you can twist it enough times to create tension, it will break.

    Safety Wire - Parts

    I use them for crab traps and for attaching a GO ID TAG number to traps. I also use it to make a loop on the end of the bungee cord and then pinch the tubing. Stainless steel and easy to work with, lots of wire so last time I bought two because it was a lot.

    You should use for simple repairs.

    I found this wire broke when I twisted it, thought it was stronger than it actually was. a good choice for small fence repair. Overall I would not recommend a fence repair.

    Used on motorcycle handlebars

    Great wire! I don't like using steering wheel glue. I don't think it's necessary. I use this wire to attach the grips to the steering wheel. I attach the handle in a couple of places and have never had a problem with the handle slipping or moving around, keeps the handle right where I put it.

    Good for grips, comfy spool, expensive wire

    I made 3 sets of grips with this wire and it worked great. The finish is still shiny after one race and a few rides. I sometimes break it from over tightening, but there is a learning curve. The small spool is easy to work with, but I feel like I'm paying more for the packaging than the wire.

    Same gauge of wire and I did not find any spurs or roughness. I used it primarily to attach hooks to a pegboard for tool storage. The wire hasn't snapped with so little use. The coil appears to have the correct length of wire. I prefer real spools for storage, but this pack isn't too bad - it can be impractical to return excess length that you haven't used.
