This is a very sensitive radio and seems very easy to use, the volume is not very high, when using USB and LSB should be in the preamp

Good reception on all bands when away from household appliances that make noise. The sound quality of the speaker is better than expected. Good value for money.

I tested this walkie-talkie at Burbank Airport (BUR). Although I could hear the planes and control tower over the internet on ATC.net, I didn't hear anything on this radio. No control tower, not AWOS, not Unicom. Nothing. Very disappointing.

I wanted a small shortwave radio for the zombie apocalypse and of course just for occasional listening. It greatly exceeded my expectations. It is of very good quality and has many interesting features. I wish it had a scan function on the radio band, but I don't really care. The sound quality is very good for a radio of this size and with only 1 speaker.

If you want a good, fairly small portable AM/FM radio, this one is good with good sound quality. But I wanted a terrestrial/shortwave/SSB radio. It works fairly well on Air Band only and gets almost nothing on HF and I can't get anything on SSB. I bought a 25 foot antenna but it didn't help. I have another smaller radio that works much better with the radio channel and is only 3 times cheaper so I returned it.
