Not recommended

I have a lot of these but they're almost useless. Plastic is too flexible, so any force to slide it between tight spots is impossible without it deforming and being able to pass between the wires - that's the whole point. Another problem is the knot on the thread of dental floss, it also gets in the way and doesn't let it pass behind the wire. Oh well! What is this design?! But I thought I could use them like regular fillings but oh no I can't get them between my teeth as I'm not wearing braces

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

I'm so glad I'll never have to buy them again

I wore braces for three years and couldn't stand manual flossing with regular floss without a spool so I've always bought these toothpicks because they are compatible with braces are . They work well, but don't think you can use more than between (maybe) two teeth as the floss itself will start to fray and you'll need multiple fetches just to floss all your teeth in one. It wasn't worth the money alone, but the manual flossing didn't cost me for three years. So if you have the same problem I…

Too big for braces - do not buy

I bought this "orthotopic" dental floss to clean my 10 year old son's braces. I had previously purchased another brand - Platypus orthodontic threads - and they worked great - the plastic floss holder fitted perfectly between the braces and the teeth as it had a flattened part in relation to one of the U-shaped plastic floss holders so that they fit well invaded this small space. This brand β€” Plackers is a joke β€” is no different than standard dental floss for people without braces. I can't even

Updated: 9/12/16 As I said in my original review, sometimes if you have too many teeth they won't fit. So I only had braces on my upper teeth and the floss worked fine. I hit the bottom today and my teeth are too tight I think because they definitely won't go in. I hope if they straighten up a bit they'll fit. At this point I think I need to use thread in a different way, which I hate, but oh well. I've taken these and Platypus to see which ones work best, but both have worked the same for me…
