Misleading, non-biodegradable

Ultimately, it's my fault for not researching and reading more about this product. I hope this review helps someone out there. After purchase, I realized that this product is partly made of plastic and is not biodegradable. Disappointed with my purchase. All the many great features of this product make you think you are buying an environmentally friendly product when in fact you are not. Beware of this product if your goal is to reduce your consumption of plastic and biodegradable products.

Pros
  • Made from renewable resources to reduce your carbon footprint
Cons
  • Some mistakes

I bought these a few months ago and have been waiting to review them to give them a good try. They're great, they're as strong as a regular bag and will hold sauce and other stuff you throw in the bag. We left the sauce in the bag for 5 days and everything was fine, nothing leaked. Now we're going to buy these bags. I am working to remove plastic from my house as much as possible and they are plant based and I just can't tell you how excited I am to have found this. Thanks for making themโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Made in the USA and 100% recyclable
Cons
  • Not bad but...

So far, so good! for household items

Eco-friendly garbage bags are often a HUGE SCAM. Beware of sellers who advertise their bags as biodegradable. There is nothing biodegradable in the landfill. Despite the debate about how to buy and use garbage bags responsibly, there is no perfect answer. I'm on the side of what bags are made of. While each has its downsides, I generally opt for plant-based plastic bags or recycled plastic bags. I am very happy with this bag. It fits my trash can perfectly and I prefer two handles to aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • USDA Certified Biobased - Made from plant-based materials (sugar cane) instead of fossil fuels
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
