🎧 Plantronics .Audio 610 USB Mono Headset Review

My wife has had them for over a year and still loves them. This is a will in itself. She can be picky when it comes to technology. So if it still works and she likes it, that's still good enough. Highly recommended.

Seems to work well overall and has good voice recognition, but there were a few times when I was moving with the headset on and heard 2 clicks, the loud static clicks followed by a failed response from Dragon NaturallySpeaking So I had to open "Profile" again, this happened a couple of times and I'm not sure if it was a malfunction of Dragon NaturallySpeaking or a USB adapter or a Plantronics headset. .In fact, this message was dictated by the above.

I don't want to replace this device but I'm trying to find an inexpensive wireless device. The cable on my 610 is dry rotting, the insulation is falling off. The foam has completely disappeared from the earpiece. However, I ask my viewers on Twitch, Discord and YouTube about my sound quality and they all think that I use much more expensive equipment. Plantronics products have never let me down.

Bought for work because I needed a non-Bluetooth headset for my softphone. I had to return the first headset I received as it arrived with a black plastic cable cover split into several pieces exposing all the cables. The replacement arrived in perfect condition. However, I've been using it for work for about two weeks and the cable cover came off twice just because I put the headset on in the morning and took it off in the afternoon. Much more comfortable than the two ear headphones I got from the employer. Still a bit uncomfortable to wear for a 12 hour shift. Good volume and reception control. Anyone on the other end can hear me with no problem. Easy setup.

Notice how it just broke. Low quality. Back to Revain. Update: I've found 3 more places where the rubber sheath for the wire is falling apart. Terrible quality and QA.

Great headset, I've broken the part that stays on my head since Revain sent it in a lined post box. I would recommend that you buy them in bulk so they come boxed instead. I was able to fix it myself with JB Plastic Weld. Everything is fine at night. The sound is higher in the higher frequencies, definitely not for a music snob, but I spend most of the day in meetings and the higher frequencies help me understand people better.
