🧴 Convenient 8 Oz Plastic Cylinder Bottles with Flip Top Pour Spout - Pack of 12 Review

Almost sent back when I started unpacking. The quality just isn't up to scratch, the flip top is very stiff and the plastic smell is CRAZY strong. It basically ruined the 8 ounce oil in the first bottle. Some of them work well enough to keep, and they work in a pinch or for someone who is less picky (or worried about the smell of their product).

This is the second batch of bottles I have bought. I originally bought these for a homemade hand sanitizer when there was a shortage early in the COVID outbreak and shared them with friends. I've since used them for all sorts of kitchen items like soy sauce and hot sauce. They hold everything I've put in them so far. For a dollar each, you can't beat them.

These cylindrical plastic bottles with a hinged lid are particularly practical. I use them to make grill oil as the flip top lid makes it easy to use, open and close. There is a small chance of spilling the contents and the bottle doesn't get sticky like I've found with other closures. I also use them for a variety of other liquids including: Mouthwash, Coffee Flavors like Hazelnuts, Liquid Soap, Travel & Gym Bag Soap/Hair Conditioner and when I need 8 oz. I use 16oz and 8oz bottles to dispense paint and varnish thinner. All of the flip top bottles I've ordered have been made from the right HDPE plastic that will withstand all the chemicals I've used in gesture creation and finishing, graphics, cars, guitar, and decoration. In the past I have ordered low density polyethylene bottles (L for #4 low density) and acrylic paint thinner that start to leak within a day or two and should only be used with water based fluids. Bottles are ok with enough pressure for liquids (it's hard HDPE plastic). The problem is that the lids don't fit well. Some are difficult to put on and even harder to remove. Some only twist 1/4 turn to tighten and don't close properly, and many fail the pressure test (fill bottle halfway with water, tighten cap and close flip top, squeeze over sink).
