Short screws for drywall anchors

The screws supplied are so short that they barely reach the end of the anchor. No matter what you use an anchor larger than 1/16 inch for, the screws won't reach the end of the anchor and it won't work. Useless unless you want to buy your own longer screws.

Pros
  • Contents
Cons
  • Out of fashion

They fall apart during installation

I had problems using it. Six screws broke right next to the head because it was almost completely screwed in. I also had a plastic part break on at least 2 of them and could have been more as some of the screws are not as tight as I would like. I can go back and replace the six I put in today. The rest I throw away and don't use.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I will add later

Another reviewer's recommendation, 3/8 " drill bit

Had to hang a 2-hole bracket from the ceiling. 8" I couldn't fully insert the dowel into the hole. When drilling 3/8" both anchors fit well. The bracket holds a pendant light with a tension chain so I had to be careful when pulling it not to come out of the ceiling. I used the screws that came with the anchors Now I'm pretty sure it must be a lot of weight to get that out of the ceiling.

Pros
  • Good resilience and high tension
Cons
  • Doubtful
