These are fairly heavy cable ties for the same high price. However, there is no UV label on the packaging (although the website advertises Revain as UV protection) so I'm a little unsure if they're genuine. UPDATE: These ties are DEFECTIVE! At least 25% of ties snap when they are fastened with just finger strength. This stuff is CRACK!

I'm looking and looking for wider and thicker ties. I live in the desert and use them all over the farm. We have a very strong wind here, so ordinary zippers on fabrics don't last long. Also, the summer heat can bake the thinner ones very quickly. I've bought airplane ties and they last a long time, but they're expensive. And then I found this one. They are nice and thick and wide, really well made. I'm glad I found her.

I liked that they were wider and thicker than normal zippers. I was able to attach 3 thick cables to a pipe in my basement and it's secure. I have 12 inches. Even if there are extra overhangs at the end, they can be trimmed with a pair of sturdy scissors (regular scissors won't work, the ribbons are thick). When using them, make sure you go through the correct side of the hole, if you go through the wrong side it won't "tear" or tighten and you will think you have a defective item.

Our dog managed to open his large metal cage and escape no matter how hard we tried. We blocked it with furniture and everything! In the end, she tore the bars and even injured herself while escaping. We bought these zip ties to reinforce the cage and voila! No more cage locks and no more escapes. These zippers are tied so tightly that she doesn't realize she's holding onto them with her teeth. Very easy to use. I haven't tried cutting them off so I don't know how difficult it would be.
