Great help around the house!

I also bought a USB extension cable and put a lamp above the basement door. Much quieter on meetings/calls as my Covid homeschooled family has a clear queue from my work status!

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Ease of maintenance

Love the light, not the software

Love these lights that save lives when you work from home. However, I will say that I've recently encountered software issues and have to reset the lights a few times a week to get it to work and sync. Therefore 4 stars against 5

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • No paint required

Very useful for WFH

Works very well for teams. The Teams connector has just been updated to support blinks and small sounds for new messages. Amazing, I didn't even know it had a speaker. We both work from home so it's really handy to let each other know when we're on the phone.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Pleasant visual status indicator

This is a good device as a visual indicator of whether you are busy on a call or not. Some of the features stated in the software may not work as expected, but at this point I'm still willing to agree with the product if in doubt, it may just be operator error. If you use this device, be prepared that even if you are on the phone and the red light is on, it will attract the attention of colleagues who will ask for it. ;)

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
Cons
  • Empty

Old Computer: Office Electronics

I've tried the hell out of getting this thing to work and I still don't know if the problem is with my headset or the light. I just got a new computer. It helped with the installation because it worked all day. I'm pretty good with computers and it's not user friendly. From the list of software he wants to install, I must be a programmer to understand. Besides that, if I can figure out how to get this working all the time, I think I'll be golden.

Great for not missing Skype calls and new messages

Love this thing! I missed Skype calls and new chats because the only indicator was a tiny blinking toolbar icon. When I'm concentrating on something, I often skip it. I work in IT support, so I'm expected to respond in a timely manner. Busylight has definitely made a difference. I will increase my rating from 4 to 5 stars when they implement a better way to set default colors (currently a registry setting) and when they start supporting Zoom calls.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Who only has one app?

I really like this idea and have used it in a few organizations around the office. The problem is trying to use it for my home office. I use Webex, Zoom, Teams, Skype, Skype for Business, Plantronics headset (computer and mobile). Apparently nobody thought that when writing software you can use multiple applications. There is a package for every application. This means running multiple background apps to keep an eye on them all. They have a demo app (for now) that you can use to control the…

Pros

I use this for my home office so my family will know if they can bother me. First the good things: The size and form factor are excellent. Not too big not too small. Easy to assemble. Long cord (spec says 9 feet). The hardware is generally excellent. Easy 5 stars. What needs improvement: The cord is not replaceable if it breaks or if you don't need 9ft. I would have liked a detachable USB cable so it could be swapped out. The biggest need is software. The software is easy to set up, but the…
