Description of πŸ” Plugable USB 2.0 Switch for Easy One-Button USB Device Port Sharing Between Two Computers (AB Switch) - Enhanced SEO

SIMPLE DEVICE SHARING - Compact design provides easy one-touch switching of a USB device or hub between two computers. ONE BUTTON TOGGLE - Great for sharing a printer, scanner, or other USB device between two computers (one computer at a time). Attach a powered USB hub that is connected to the keyboard, mouse, and USB 2.0 graphics adapter for an all-USB KVM solution. PLUG AND PLAY - Switch works with any USB-enabled computer without drivers - attached devices may require drivers as usual. LED indicator lights show which connected computer has control of the attached devices. COMPATIBILITY - Not recommended for switching mass storage devices such as hard drives, flash drives, memory cards, etc. We recommend using the provided 59in/1.5m cables to connect the USB switch to your computer and 6ft/1.8m to your peripheral. 2 YEAR WARRANTY - We love our Plugable products, and hope you will too. All of our products are backed with a 2-year limited parts and labor warranty as well as Seattle-based email support.

Easy, gets the job, great warranty support

I use an A/B switch in my home office to switch my keyboard, mouse and wired headset between work and personal laptops. When my old one stopped working reliably, I bought this newer plugable model. I haven't worked from home that much so it took me a few months to set up a new one. But when COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in my area meant I had to work from home again, I quickly discovered that one of the two ports on the new A/B switch had failed. I contacted Plugable Support via email and…

Excellent for sharing a 7 year old HP USB Laser Printer with a new Dell laptop running Windows 10 and a 4 year old Lenovo laptop running Windows 7. Setup was very easy. The switch comes with two USB cables; Plug one end of each cable into the ports clearly labeled "A" or "B" on the back of the switch and the other end of each cable into a USB port on each laptop. Then connect the printer to the single USB port on the front of the switch using the supplied USB cable. The little button at the top

I'm using this to share a USB sound card between my PC and my PS4. I use a Sound Blaster X G6 in combination with Beyerdynamic Custom Game headphones. Before making this switch, I was using the Plugable USB Switch 3.0, which can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Sharing-One-Button- Swapping-Computers/dp/B00JX3Q28Y/ref=pd_yo_rr_psims_2/133- 2274799- 0834266 ?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00JX3Q28Y&pd_rd_r=4db5db57-8c04-44f2-a6db-a554972551a4&pd_rd_w=6i679&pd_rd_wg=cYwMR&pf_rd_p=93e0e08e-a3…

Hit or miss if the glue sticks to yours.

This is a very good design in every respect except a very bad one. As soon as I took it out of the box and plugged it in, I was puzzled by (a) the difficulty in selecting the correct port (sometimes it would switch to one and then another a moment later) and (b) the apparent lack of correlation between the selected port and the LEDs. The discovery revealed the problem. It uses a double pole double throw (DPDT) switch to toggle between terminals A and B, and a similarly sized single pole double…

Bought with a Sabrent hub and both were disappointing.

4/16/17 Addendum: It may not be fair to compare this $12.95 device to a $29.95 IOGEAR device: https://www.amazon.com/gp/ product/B00BD8I3EISo I raise my rating to 3 stars. Plugable sent me a replacement part, but I wouldn't call it great. In the meantime I have bought a second IOGEAR device. (I have one at home and one at work.) IOGEAR works great every time I press the button. That's what I expect from the Switch. The connected device sometimes does not work. I think a lot of people don't mind

Good solution for switching between mouse and keyboard

I am using this solution to use a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse between two computers. There's a one or two second delay after pressing the button, but it doesn't feel too long. I have an old Logitech wireless solution that doesn't aggregate but works out of the box. I ordered a new Logitech keyboard and mouse with Unified Connections and read here that they work great too. The package includes two USB cables needed to connect two computers. You don't need to buy any other USB cables…
