4/16/17 Addendum: It may not be fair to compare this $12.95 device to a $29.95 IOGEAR device: https://www.amazon.com/gp/ product/B00BD8I3EISo I raise my rating to 3 stars. Plugable sent me a replacement part, but I wouldn't call it great. In the meantime I have bought a second IOGEAR device. (I have one at home and one at work.) IOGEAR works great every time I press the button. That's what I expect from the Switch. The connected device sometimes does not work. I think a lot of people don't mind sometimes having to press a button a few times for the device to toggle, especially if it gives them a product for less than half the price. Therefore of course 3 stars. First review: I bought these two items together: USB 2.0 plug-in switch for one-touch USB device/hub switching between two computers (A/B switch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006Z0Q2SI/ andSabrent 4-port USB 3.0 hub with individual power buttons and LEDs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JX1ZS5O At the time, for each device, the Revain page listed the other device as "Customers Also Bought." " on, so I assumed they were known for working well as a team. None of the devices worked well, switching properly, sometimes changing color and often losing the device completely. I thought the problem was that I needed a power supply for the Sabrent Hub in response to people saying "Search Amazon PS-5V4A or see the link below." My search for PS-5V4a in Revain gave the first result: Sabrent 5V 4A 100V to 240V DC Power Adapter supports most Sabrent USB hubs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MRGKPH8I bought this adapter, plugged it to the hub. and IMMEDIATELY my monitor went black! The monitor wasn't even one of the two devices I used a hub + switch for! However, the power supply + hub caused a "keyboard error" that shut down my computer. I've tried repeatedly and it's happened every time. I've tried using a plug-in switch without a Sabrent hub and it's still unacceptable. I've used a Sabrent Hub + Switch once or twice before freaking out about damaging my computer to save a few bucks. Then I gave up all three devices. They're only about $10 each so I'm not sure if it's worth sending them back. I have no more boxes. But I think it's worth giving every device that 1 star rating.
