I've resisted getting any PME tips because of the price but I can say that hands down it's worth it. The 1.5 size was perfect for writing and I'm looking forward to slowly investing in more of these tips.The quality is great and worked beautifully. If you are wondering if the PME tubes are worth 4.50, the short answer is YES.Now, for a longer answer: They come in smaller sizes than Wilton or Ateco, which is great if you are looking to do fine details. I thought that the price of this tip was outrageous and the size redundant to my #1 and # 2 tips. boy was I ever wrong! This tip is amazing! W/o looking for it when using various bags, bottles and so on of icing with this tip I could tell which one had this tip on it - the icing flowed more easily , the designs were smooth and flawless and the size was perfect for piping and writing. It's seamless and heavily weighted so that may be part of it . Who knows - all I know is it's a godsend!

I ordered this for my daughter who decoratesw cookies, and she said this was so much better than the Wilton tips, and the 1.5 was just what you need for larger outlining and filling in cookies.

These tips are my very favorite for decorating cookies with royal icing. Perfect sized line makes details easy and outlining a breeze. It's great to have tips that don't rust or have seams to clean. Loved being able to buy a multipack.

At first I thought it was an over exaggeration on how well these tips were. I live in a small town where the only available cooking and baking supplies is a local wal-mart where I have bought several round tips for decorating cookies. The tip is awesome and flows easily. However, it arrived bent/oval shaped. Not worth returning so we tried to bend it a bit to fit the cupler piece. It works

I use this tip to pipe words and fine detail onto baked goods. It is easy to use and clean. The frosting flows smoothly from the tip and produces great results.

What a difference a seam makes. Much easier to pipe clean straight lines and lettering without curling. Best tip if you're not tipless.

Love these tips. They are seamless giving a nice flow of icing. Best brand I have used. perfect for writing. Non-replaceable nozzle.

I've been eternally frustrated with the Wilton #1 and #1S tips for writing. They clog constantly, and make it very challenging to pipe intricate things. I was hesitant to order the PME tips because of the price, but boy are they worth it! I was able to write beautifully without interruption. I could not be more pleased.

While my Wiltons can't touch the quality, or reliability of my Supatubes, I find that for anything but extreme detail or elaborate designs, the Wiltons will do fine. If you're a wet on wet person, you probably won't find the extra money for Supatubes worth it.That being said, PME Supatubes will spoil you a little if you are a cookie decorator! These icing tubes are the bomb! I have all the smaller sizes---1.5, 1, 0, 00---and they are the best for doing detail work on the cookies I make. They are slightly longer than the Ateco tips I have, but work just fine with the coupling pieces I have. I wouldn't bother with any other tips for fine, detail work.

The size is great, but I notice the tip is not quite seamless nor round. there is a small triangle point at the "seam" and it is frustrating when I have thick consistency icing going through it for letters and details. it starts to curl and creates a frustrating flow path.

I use these tips for writing and piping royal icing on sugar cookies. These tips won't make your piping better but you won't get better without them.

This is a great size for detail.which makes it perfect for cake pops! Write on! It also works great if you want to put swirls on your cake pop.

I adore these. They don't clog nearly as much as Wiltons, and they are able to get much finer detail. They cost more and you can see the quality.
