They seem to have come down in price for the case. Avoid this model!

I have used this drive many times since I bought it for copying and storing files, it seems a decent drive. USB sticks are generally pretty basic, so don't expect too many problems. Today when I put the disc in my computer it was unreadable and then when I picked it up to take it out my computer turned off. As I took a closer look at the drive, I noticed that the thin memory card had slipped into the outer metal casing and the metal had touched the computer's USB pins, causing the computer to…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Expensive

Despite generally good reviews, the product I received was rubbish and .

This review is for the 16GB model. CAREFULLY! Despite generally good reviews, the item I received was scrap and I sent it back. I don't know if it was a bad batch or lack of quality control. I ordered two 16GB models. I'm an IT consultant and I buy LOTS of inexpensive (less than $10) 16-32GB flash drives to back up clients and create recovery discs for new Windows installs. I buy discs from Lexar, PNY and Kingston all the time. I'm not expecting a high end product as these are reasonably priced

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Infuriates

I've been buying PNY wheels for 20 years - only use this brand. I've even bought this 5-pack before: it worked great! In fact, I still have the very first USB drive I bought: it was a 256MB PNY drive and I paid around $23 for it. yes it is that old But it still works (not that I use it regularly, but I just tested it and it still works!) But this batch is defective. If you have REALLY strong hands, you can slide back the transparent part to use the drive. But you will never close it again…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

PNY USB 2.0 Flash Drive 64GB/BLACK (P-FD64GATT03-GE)WOW, that thing is slow. but when connected to Windows 10 and trying a quick format, it takes about a minute for the process to actually start. It was like a dial-up modem in 1982 - I got about 128,000 transmissions (ok, probably faster than a 300 baud modem - but you got it) it comes back

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

10 for under 30, great, reliable but a bit slow.

10 of these for less than 30 dolls - you can't go wrong. The discs themselves are exactly the same as in the photo, no wonder. They are charcoal black, making them difficult to write on. Therefore, use a white marker or a marker of a different color. big. This is a great package for installing a copy of Win 10, a few more for Linux and Windows recovery tools. One for PartedMagic, a few more for your favorite Linux distros. Fast enough to bring a few lightweights (Q4OS, Puppy, etc.) to life for…

More like USB 1.0 based on speeds

I bought this PNY 10 disc set this year to give my family lots of photos and files. All drives operate at speeds between 1 and 6 MB/s, a far cry from the standard 60 MB/s for USB 2.0 standards. I thought it was a cheaper drive, but that's a bit ridiculous and shouldn't be advertised as USB 2.0, but I think since it's faster than the standard USB 1.0 speed of 1.5MB/s, it is technically a kind of USB 2.0. That fact aside, the open and close slider on the USB drive is very tight and it seems like…

  • Easy setup

  • Something different
