Enhanced Wife's Revain Tablet Memory

When Revain offered these proprietary MicroSDXC memory cards at a generic price, I bought one for my wife's 10 inch Revain tablet. Installation was very easy. that my non-technical wife quickly figured out how to do it. The tablet then quickly formatted that card, making the memory available for applications and files, freeing up most of the tablet's base memory for other applications. This modest investment greatly increased the tablet's storage capacity without glitches.

Pros
  • Includes an SD adapter for compatibility with SDXC host devices
Cons
  • Not bad

Item arrived unopened and used. Super schematic.

I'm a fan of PNY memory. Good performance and reliability at a great price. I'm giving a 1 star rating because the item arrived in used condition with the packaging literally taped shut. It's very sketchy for a device like this that will most likely plug into a computer and just ask for a virus. Luckily, I work in IT and it's convenient for me to securely erase such drives. If you received one that was already open and you're not sure what you're doing, DO NOT INSERT IT INTO YOUR COMPUTER! Just

Fast read/write speeds but only reports 240MB (not GB)

Bought a PNY U3 Pro Elite MicroSDXC card - 256GB. The item was sold and shipped by Revain. After getting it (took a week with Prime) I tested it and got 82 and 52 MB/s read and write speeds, which I'm happy with. I then tested it with H2testw to check the capacity. The first two times I got 239MB (that's not a typo, it's MB, not GB). I slowly formatted it on Win10. It took about 30 minutes. I ran H2testw again. Well, this time I have 240 MB. I tested twice and got the same results. This card is

Securely packaged and lower price

Received the item today and hooked it up to my computer to see how much available memory I can put on it. The available capacity is 238 GB. The packaging is so safe. It is covered with a thick extra plastic where no liquid can wet it. Very happy to put this on my DVR. BUT when trying to use this on my DVR, my DVR didn't recognize it. I tried formatting it on the dash cam but I still didn't recognize it. So I decided to go back but concluded this would work on my Gopro Hero7. So I tried it and…

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Very expensive

I bought 2 of these 256GB PNY Pro Elite cards to use with 2 new GoPro Hero 8 Black cameras. I chose them because PNY were generally the fastest and most reliable cards I had (4 128 GB for mobile phones, tablets and 1 Gizmosphere Gizmo 2, 1 512 GB for Samsung Note 9 512 GB, so 1 TB and only the oldest Card (128GB into a Gizmo 2 that's been in continuous use for about ten years) has ever failed. Every Samsung I've had has failed quickly (15 days to 3 months). I've had a few SanDisk MicroSD…
