The oil filter fitted perfectly but the air filter did not fit

I have an old Yamaha Timberwolf. The spark plug and oil filter worked perfectly. The oil filter fitted the Timberwolf perfectly when I changed the oil. The air filter did not work well. I spent a lot of time carefully trying to fit it over the existing air filter, but it ended up breaking.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Negative is present

Best used parts are Air Filter

The air filter was very tight on the metal filter and care had to be taken not to damage it. Fork of unknown manufacture. Strainer type oil filter, no paper - I don't know if that matters as I don't know what the original equipment was. UPDATE - FILTER HALF DISCONNECTED - TRASH - DO NOT BUY! Rode a split air filter for a few weeks - probably a major cylinder failure!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Good performance

My son's quad was under water the whole time, couldn't figure out why, looked in the airbox and a mouse made a nest there ruining the old filter in the process, the stuff sucked fuel out of the carb and had a pint of fuel sloshing around in the airbox cam along with mouse bits, a pretty nasty mess that needed cleaning up. This filter didn't stop the mice, but he no longer had to worry about flooding. Next the steel inner screen needs to be replaced, find a cheap source for this as it will rust…
