Nice little desk unit but not heavy

Well I have mixed reviews for this product. I think it will work for what I bought it for, which is to keep my gun mic or Go Pro as an extra camera on a handheld device. I definitely disagree with the headline that it's hard work just because the legs don't lock, and if you put something like a windshield dead man's mic gun on it, the legs start sliding down. I'm a little confused about this. It looks good and is a great concept, but it's poor design on the legs. I have something like this when

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other models

Received to use with my Logitech C920 and was very disappointed. I was careful unboxing and installing as I read reviews of poor workmanship before ordering (silly) but unfortunately I don't have a pixie or fairy touch - which apparently is required to use this. I pulled the legs out, carefully pulling them out of the packaging and pulling the last leg that just came out of the rest of the telescope assembly, dropping the two copper plates that were supposed to limit the movement to the floor…

Decent desktop tripod but not heavy

This is a really decent little desktop tripod that I use with a webcam and small digital camera. I've tried using it with a large DSLR and it works, but care must be taken as it can tip over with something that big. It's all metal (except for the rubber feet and a small handle with a locking pin) and is pretty solid. It folds down to 4 inches which I can easily toss in my camera bag or put in my pocket. It is stable and measures 6½ inches tall with legs fully extended and 4½ inches tall with…

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • Durable

I think this must have been designed for digital cameras under 6 ounces. There are no locks on the telescopic tripod legs - they rely solely on friction between the slider tubes. While arranging (with two hands) a flower arrangement for a photo shoot, the two legs of this tripod collapsed under the weight of my Sony DSC-HX200V digital camera. Both the tripod and the camera attached to it overturned and fell off the table onto the floor, completely damaging the camera. I couldn't grab it fast…

  • Free for educational use

  • Not sure
