This is normal. I have nail clip cases from other brands that are larger and more comfortable than this one. While they work, they are very short. If you wear long nails, they won't fit at all. However, if you have short nails, this size may be preferable. The clips themselves are fine, everything opens/closes easily. However, 2 of mine broke out of the packaging. The tools are of good quality and probably make this whole set quite economical. Not the best, but not too expensive either.
