Great speakers for home audio

We have a 5.1 audio system for the living room. I bought a Polk Audio 80F/X-LS for 3 front speakers (Right, Center and Left) and a Polk Audio 80F/X-RT for 2 rear speakers (Right and Left). The house is newly built - we routed the audio cable and used the 9-3/8" Polk pre-mount brackets before lifting the drywall - so installation was easy. Easy install and smooth sound

I bought these speakers to replace some of the smaller rear speakers in my 5.1 system. They offer a much fuller sound than the small micro speakers I had in the back and work well when my Marantz is in 'All Zone Stereo' mode, with the front and rear receiving full signal and power. The tweeters are angled, allowing you to rotate the assembly so they're pointing toward the listening area, rather than straight down. The room is now filled with sound! Great in-ceiling surround speakers!

A small baffle and 15-foot vaulted ceiling made it difficult to add a pair of rear speakers. I choose these Polk F/X RT speakers because of the size, price compared to Sonance, Episode and because the wood matches my front towers. Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised. Although the focus here was on the surround sound effect when watching films, listening to music in 5-channel stereo did not cause any problems. I currently have 80 F/X's for my surround back Customize purchased in 7.1. I have 15 foot vaulted ceilings so I was concerned about quality with such high ceilings and wanted the speakers to be big enough to create great surround sound in a large room. I considered the MC 80s as they are highly rated but didn't want to risk it so went with them. So far I haven't been disappointed. They produce a great character sound and are perfect for my setup and living room layout. They're easy to hear even
