💡 Efficiently Test Circuits with POLLAK (12741EV 7-Way Circuit Tester) Review

This product doesn't advertise that it reads other ads but doesn't read the +12 line, especially on newer vehicles. I have a 2020 Ford Ranger and you must have a trailer to activate +12 volts. So kind of misleading.

I think this doesn't work on a lot of Euro cars based on other reviews. The 12V LED lights up, the others just flash in the same row. Also the taillights went out on my BMW until a few resets after using this one. Had to hook up my BMW to the trailer to make sure the 7th way was working properly.

Attention! This tester will not work on vehicles with LED headlights. I used it to check the wiring on an Audi Q5 but the top three lights flashed at the same time indicating something was wrong. I asked the Audi dealer to check the wiring with a tester and everything was fine. The Audi dealer said that this type of tester has problems with cars with LED headlights. I then asked my local U-Haul dealer to check the wiring with positive results. The Q5 wiring is fine, but this tester doesn't show

Purchased for use on a Mercedes GLS 450 with a factory fitted 7 pin plug. The top row of LEDs only blinks and the product does not work properly. There were no instructions with the product. Manufacturer contacted for additional support. Pollack responded with a video from the E-Trailer website. The video offered no further diagnosis. I took the car to the dealer for checking, pin 7 works fine. According to Mercedes, LED warning lights do not work on these types of vehicles.
