New packaging in Pet Content - Main

New zipped packaging looks like a good idea BUT the powder gets stuck in the zip. The bag doesn't close. I take a small brush and clean it and I'm sure it will work. It's just uncomfortable. I'm thinking ahead and guessing it will be impractical to scoop from the pack as it's also nearing the end of the pack.

The results were very quick.

I'm new to corals so after doing some research I decided to give it a try. I use Reef Roids once a week and the results have been amazingly quick! The corals have started to grow and change color and it's easy to apply. I use a syringe without a needle, which slows down applying directly to the coral. Essential for sustainable growth.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons

A must if you have soft corals.

The stuff just makes the corals happy, they look a lot brighter and grow faster. I know most reef keepers use it. The smell also drives the fish insane and makes hard-to-feed fish more enthusiastic about eating pellets or other food. You need to mix it a little with a few drops of salt water until you get a thick paste. Then use a long feeding tube and blow clumps of it into your squid or anemone's mouth.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Amazing product! Best in keeping pets - main dog

Love this stuff and my corals too. When I started using the polyp booster and reef roids my corals almost doubled in size. Their colors are bright and fluorescent. I would recommend it to anyone who has marine life and is looking for food. Dosing was a bit tricky and it took a little science to get the water parameters right. I've found that adding a quarter 1/8 teaspoon to the aquarium water and pouring directly into the tank works best for my 29 gallon. bio cube. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Easy care

I get an amazing polyp enlargement

WOW. I use this in combination with Polyp Booster and there is a definite response when I feed these products to coral. I get amazing polyp expansion even on some acros that don't normally show much and the larger LPS corals are going crazy. I'm even seeing Zoas react to these two products in a way I've never seen with other products. After feeding twice a week for a month I can see that the acro coloring is becoming more pronounced and growth is accelerating around some corals.

Seriously smelly and delicious to my seawater dwellers.

Even the fish are crazy about them, the shrimp cling to the ends of the tube I use for feeding and the corals are growing like never before. Best of all, I didn't notice any added algae or an accelerated form of nitrate. Filters don't need a new shift plan either. And I feed this food 2-3 times a week. It is important to choose the right ratio, do not add too much water to the mixture, half a teaspoon is enough for 20 mouths. For example, mix it with brine shrimp to add texture. I love it and…

I probably won't buy again. Use with caution!

There seems to be more coral since I added this to my tank. However, my nitrate levels went up as soon as I started using it. Now I've had cyano in both tanks since I started using it. I didn't have these problems before I put this substance in my aquariums. I've lost a few corals since the nitrate and cyano waves started. I even used less than the recommended amount (1/3 the amount) to start with for fear of putting too much in the tank. When using this stuff just be careful and watch your…

  • There are problems

For the first time ever, a nano reef aquarium owner was hesitant about many of the things that go into starting a reef aquarium, but I found that you believe in the process of purchasing the right items for your aquarium have to if you want to be successful. With Reef Roids, your corals will grow right before your eyes! My very first coral was Duncan's three headed frag. I plan to feed up to 3 times a week and the coral looks like a chipmunk with cheeks full of seeds after each feeding. In two…
