Great Material: Arc Welder

If you are interested in plastic welding, FiberFlex is the right choice because of its versatility. You can patch anything with it and it works really well with reinforcement materials like mesh and the like. This is a must for fusing things together.

Pros
  • for use with Polyvance Airless Plastic Welder
Cons
  • unreliable

Should have bought this a few years ago

Along with the welder this makes a great tool for anyone trying to fix cracked dashboards, plastic bumpers etc. I've already fixed my old dashboard and saved hundreds of dollars. I tried to get this to work once before using things like JBweld and other epoxy products but they didn't adhere well to the base material and started lifting shortly after. This is the way to go if you want to do things right.

Pros
  • For use with Polyvance Airless Plastic Welder
Cons
  • Doubtful

Works well - not for as long as I was hoping

Overall this stuff works well. It could certainly "stick" to the hard plastic I was trying to fix. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be as strong (tough? tough? crush resistant?) as I thought it would be after reading the manufacturer's description (from the Urethane Supply website). The product I repaired broke in the same place from the impact. Obviously this is not the product's fault as the original product broke in the same place due to stress. From the description I figured the product…

Pros
  • Will stick to any plastic but works particularly well with TPO
Cons
  • Very expensive
