These hair ties worked very well. I just wore it all day (12 hours straight) and it kept my ponytail in place all day. It took 3 loops to wrap it around my hair. It didn't slip and I didn't have to adjust it. The woven material is very elastic. Hard plastic plug. I forgot to pull the hair tie out and just tugged all the way. In the summer I like to wear my hair down and these elastics do a good job. They are thick and elastic. They are more flexible than I expected.
