I bought an earlier set that had real wheels that locked into place. I was disappointed that these wheels were foam rubber and they skidded on the Styx. Other than that, it's a good set for a car-loving kid (and grandparent).

I bought this to use in my class. I mention this because it means many hands are using it. They are very durable and kids love to create with them. The only thing I would say I didn't like is that the wheels are foam rubber. But the plastic is very hard. You can't beat the price.

My 5 year old son loves it. The instruction booklet that comes with the pack shows some examples of things that can be built, but many other items can be built as well. This toy allowed my son to try his hand at creativity. Highly recommended. We also bought another Playstix pack so my son can combine both packs to create even more things. Very interesting and informative.

Bought these as a gift for my 8 year old nephew and he loves them. He plays with them for a long time, which is unusual for modern children. He finds many building ideas on the internet and his friends also bring their kits and they all play together. The Playstix is of decent quality and appears to be a good solid toy that will provide hours of imaginative play for children.

Great toy. My kids like them better than Magnatils and they cost a lot less. My 3 and 9 month olds have been using them for a month now and haven't gotten bored yet - quite an achievement! They are very versatile as my baby uses them as teething sticks. (You must be careful when removing smaller pieces as they can pose a choking hazard.) I highly recommend this toy.

My 4 year old kid talked about it at school for a month after the end of summer classes and spent money to choose them on his birthday. The kids usually just seemed to fold them, but they really seemed to enjoy it. We bought this set of wheels because we thought cars were always fun.
