Received two of these on Prime Day and am thinking of returning them if they can't handle the 7-12GB files I need to transfer. Upon unboxing I became even more suspicious to find that the USB connection was MINI, not MICRO/USB3, and also recognized a drive formatted in FAT32. Of course, Windows was able to quickly format it to NTFS, and the first 7GB file was transferred at 11Mbps through the mini connector! (USB 3.0 hub). I bought an external hard drive earlier this year and had no problems. does what it says I was able to store 16 full-length movies, a few hundred songs, and hundreds of pictures in just 80GB, so not bad at all. Keep in mind that external hard drives are more vulnerable than SSDs. So if you drop and bump your hard drive and are just plain careless, don't come back here trying to leave bad reviews.

This drive is a good storage solution for small tasks. I used it to store some recipes and cookbook e-books for a family member as a gift.
