Easy to use radio and very good sound.

I love this radio. I have an old one and have used it as a bluetooth speaker a lot. In summer I take it to the park for picnics to listen to music. Three ways to charge. Excellent radio. The new model is smoother and more comfortable.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Some troubles

So far so good good for shortwave radios

Love the fact that this thing has a handle which makes it easy to carry. The look is old fashioned. It's easy to get to the elevator. I like the blue light on the display and the finishing touches. I really wish the radio was smaller, but it's not too big for sheer shelf fun. The sound is decent, and I like the multiple options for charging and listening to audio.

Pros
  • Lots will fit
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, it's ok

Good sound Large retro portable display

This radio has a classic look and solid construction. Excellent FM reception and decent AM reception. With AM stations, the volume fluctuates too much. I haven't tried the MP3 player yet. Good choice of power supply between internal rechargeable battery, two D-type batteries and power cord. Bluetooth is a big plus. This is a large portable radio that you will most likely use as a tabletop radio.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Problems

Cheap button adjuster

I've had one for a month now. Bought for my camper. We used it 3 times in total and now the volume control doesn't work very well... turn your head a bit and it's either nothing or very loud. The rest of the radio looks well made and the plastic handle makes it really cheap. I am so disappointed, love the look and have spent so much time looking for a portable camper radio.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The best radio you will ever own

This is a Pronus J-110 radio but it's much more than that. Retro style with analog dial, gold trim and wood effect panels. It's small, but a real source of energy. It has 3 radio bands, AM, FM and good shortwave spectrum coverage. The keys are labeled with their functions. There is Bluetooth, USB and a flash drive. What I like to do is pair this radio with my iPhone and use it as a hands-free phone. Reception is excellent on all 3 bands and audio is clear and loud. The price is very respectable

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • unreliable

I wanted to like it.

I wanted the BT radio/speakers on the back porch where they would sit on a mid-century vintage wood and vinyl bar. This radio looked good. Pros: Nice design Illuminated tuner button Built-in rechargeable battery Decent sound (I'm being generous) Good FM reception of local stations Cons: Overly sensitive volume control - it's either inaudible or VERY LOUD! Poor grip build quality - Settings are inaccurate with grip pointing to a radio setting, it's actually a BT setting, etc. Poor Bluetooth…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Neutral
