It's really good for $40. These are not Brooks pens. You just finish and look down. However, these are very beautiful. They are a good compromise between the thick Brooks grips, which are a bit heavy and some people don't like the texture, and the thin Brooks grips, which are nice but very flimsy. These are bulky and thick. They go great on a cruiser. Personally I don't like the stitching as it gets dirty and wear out over time but my wife liked the look and they are on her bike.

Mine was starting to unravel so I took it apart and found out why. You must completely remove the end cap before attaching the grip to ensure the handlebar tube reaches the end of the inside of the grip. The end of the inside of the grip should be flush with the handlebar tube. Then you can put the end cap on and tighten it.
