Great water bottle holder

This is a great water bottle holder. I had it on my Schwinn Circuit and recently switched to a Sparrow design which I like too. I mounted this calico cat on a vertical surface and now it fits perfectly in the music studio's on-ear headphones. Win, win.

  • Great for me

kawaii maneki neko on Moisturizing

It's cute. Looks great on my bike. Travel is the next step. It's just paper packaging dust or something else that isn't on the cage picture. No crunch or stain issues despite going through the USPS in a paper bag and falling out of a plastic bag. It fits in a 24 ounce water bottle but definitely relies on gravity as it can slide straight up and down. The roads suck, but this is a road bike so hopefully my bottle will stay a bottle.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • A little scared

Oh my god. Love it. I was wondering if it would fit my Specialized Sirrus bike (medium) and it fits perfectly. It's very durable and holds my bottle well. It comes out pretty easy too. Most of the bike accessories I've come across are absolutely BORING. Festival of Sleep. I want my bike to be fun! My only complaint is that they don't have an orange kitty bottle cage that fits my cat. ;) But I also love black cats!

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons

Looks great! But the water bottle attachment is missing

Looked great, seemed very well made. But unfortunately the water bottle wasn't held securely enough even on moderately bumpy bike rides, causing the water bottle to fall out. An example would be falling off a curb. This is aluminium. Sorry I didn't look at the description, but when you pick up the bottle and remove it, it opens up enough that you have to bend it back to keep its shape, but not for long before the same thing happens again. As with most side entry cages, this is a problem. Itโ€ฆ

The finish and fit are great; works very well!

I installed this on the seat tube of my touring bike where the 'side entry' of this cage works great especially as I'm left handed. The unique design doesn't sacrifice functionality - the handle is firm, but the cat will let go when you're thirsty! Love the finish - glossy black and not overwhelming gold anodizing (or maybe it's color). The paintwork has held up well so far, which I'm glad about as it would look lousy if it chipped or something. really, really happy that Portland Design isโ€ฆ
