This is a great needle tool. It is sharper at the tip than the standard needle tool, but thickens throughout the length of the tool. The rear end is rounded and can be used as a tool. I was very happy with the weight and balance of the instrument.

These are very nice, heavy instruments with a very thin tip. I don't use them for clay - I use them for sewing and to hold some pieces of fabric together when I push them through the feeder. It's perfect for that purpose, although I'm sure it would work for pottery too! Great quality tool for the price!

I like how heavy they are in my hands, they are made to last. I still use the more traditional potter's needle tool, but it's much better made than any I wanted as an alternative that wouldn't bend. It's not like this. Tapering is not suitable for small punctures that are then sewn up, actually I am simply satisfied with the quality and the price.

I have been a professional artist for over 30 years and I use many different tools. I can tell you that I love the precision with which this tool allows me to draw details on my sculptures and pottery. The weight of the stainless steel seems just right, just be careful not to drop it on your foot, it lands like a cat and tips forward most of the time.

Fantastic! Much better than I expected. They are very high quality, very sharp and just plain cool! Each needle is 155mm long and just under 6.5mm at its widest point. They have a nice finish - not flashy but I would describe it as a somewhat brushed steel finish. (Nice as it gives a good grip.) The tips of the needles I received were covered with a relatively thick plastic tip. (This is necessary as they are sharp!) I would definitely keep/keep the point guards - they will come in handy. I…
