- Terrible cables. As already mentioned here, they stay in the nests badly. Plus incredibly wide heat shrinks, which are very rigid and do not bend (see photo). Plus the cables are quite short. If in the ax 760 it was possible to connect a DVD drive and 2 hard drives with one cable, then 2 cables are needed here. I heard from the owners that there was not enough extra cable length. processor power supply on older motherboards for holding behind the side wall.
-problems with installation. The procedure turned out to be rather complicated. Due to the size of the heat shrink, I had to remove the motherboard in order to insert the additional power cable for the processor. The first time I had to do such fraud. Cables from cheaper blocks passed without removing the motherboard and it was much more convenient.
The problems with the installation did not end there. Corsair decided to paint over the threads, and in order to install the block, they had to bore the threads. Even the complete screws did not want to tighten as they should and had to apply force.
-Unfinished cooling system. Firstly, there is no button that switches the fan operation modes and it is difficult to check if it works at all. Secondly, the fan turns on only when the unit heats up very well. I can't say how much, because I haven't measured it.
- It stinks a lot. After opening the package, a strong and not very pleasant smell went around the room. Either the block smelled so bad, or the cables themselves.
- sizes. Just gigantic. In the Zalman z9+ case, it covers the bottom cooler mounts. Moreover, you can’t even put 120 cm with it. I showed it in the photo.
There is no squeak, but there is a barely noticeable crack. I'm not sure that it will not be amplified by 750 watts. load.
