Works great! I don't know why they aren't more common. I have a computer that streams music through my house and yard through 5 receivers and 16 speakers. Bluetooth is unreliable and has annoying latency. I use this splitter, convert it to Cat-5 for long runs and powerful speakers with mini audio amps, and I can play the same playlist all over my house and yard for a fraction of the price of a Sonos system. Everything is hardwired and totally secure. Highly recommended.

I only use this for audio so won't comment on video but it works pretty well with audio. Slight reduction of the output level, therefore not all 8 signals are 100% amplified to the input level despite amplification. Not a serious loss (I don't have time to hook anything up to verify actual DB loss), but if the drop is a problem for your application, it might be a problem. Sounds normal - no hiss, no rumble. In general very satisfied.

I am using the box so my TV can connect video and audio output to multiple devices. The TV only has one set of RCA audio outputs, but I had to send the signal to 2 separate wireless headphone systems. The only thing that worries me is the latency: there is a noticeable lag between the movement of a person's lips and the audibility of words. This 1-input 4-outlet DTECH splitter is easy to connect and works as it should. This is a different brand replacement for an apparently almost identical product. The difference with this one is that it works without any noticeable audible or visual disturbances.
