Seems hard enough to get the job done.

I needed something to connect the two sliding doors in my shed and maybe some weather protection. Installed two on a pair of 9ft tall doors and they looked like they worked - at least a little. It also serves as additional protection from prying eyes from the outside.

Does the job - hand tool

Totally worth the price you pay. A simple solution that gets the job done for now. That's all there will ever be. It's been three months and I know I'm just waiting for something to fail in the machine. I still recommend it to those looking for a temporary solution.

Latch is pretty decent but doesn't have enough travel to stay closed

Latch is pretty decent but doesn't have enough travel to stay closed. I had to file the edge so that it went past the top of the handle's arch and started to fall. This allows it to remain locked when closed. I would take another one just based on the cost of the product.

not as deep as I would like

They work great but if you want to use them for something that can move or push like a tailgate or something I made as a latch for a convertible camper van - you need to get the grinder onto the mounting plate to allow the lever to rotate a little more to ensure it doesn't bounce and open. otherwise they work perfectly.

May be better in hand tools

This clip only closes at the pivot point. This means it can be easily unlocked when moving. You either have to protect it somehow or change it like I did. I prepared the metal under the grip point to go past the pivot so it doesn't come loose when you move it. It's easy to fix, but it has to be done that way.

Nearly perfect. Nearly!

This is a strong and very beautiful clasp. The biggest problem I've encountered is the "latch" position. White, it fits well, the position of the pivot is dead, which not only allows it to open with minimal tension, but also when there is movement. general! I had to cut the clasp at the front to give the crossbar more room for the seat. Once that is achieved they seem to be holding up well. The manufacturer needs to make improvements to the design as this is a pretty serious flaw in the current

U bolt on latch - Bullshit

I bought this latch for its £2000. capacity, hoping it would be overkill for £250. Tire service on my jeep. Not correct. The U-bolt on the latch broke before I even got my Jeep out into the desert! I only wore it for about two weeks before my uncle broke it! Luckily I had access to a welding machine and was able to weld the latch on and lug it home without the trunk opening and causing an accident. I want to clarify that the lock wasn't abused or abused or anything, just went to and from school
